# DirectMailAmerica

> DirectMailAmerica is a physical letter mailing API and SaaS. Live LetterStream fulfillment: upload a PDF or compose a letter; we print and mail USPS First-Class letters, Certified Mail, and 4×6 postcards. Pay with card or USDC via x402.

## Product

- Web app for composing or uploading PDFs and sending physical mail
- REST API (`lbl_live_` production keys / `lbl_test_` developer-sandbox keys)
- MCP server for Claude Desktop, Cursor, and other MCP clients
- x402 payments in USDC on Base and Solana (live stables; advertised in every PAYMENT-REQUIRED `accepts[]`)
- MCP guest checkout: `send_letter` without an API key, pay per send with x402, ephemeral org-on-pay
- MCP card top-up via Square hosted checkout (`create_credit_checkout` — no PAN)
- Fulfillment via LetterStream into USPS. Physical mailing is live on this deployment (verified 2026-09-09).
- Staging keys (`lbl_test_`) never purchase postage. Local checkouts without LetterStream credentials stay in labeled demo mode and do not enter the USPS stream.

Authoritative list prices in USD. Credits are 1:1 with USD cents. No subscription required.

- First-Class letter: $1.49 first page + $0.25 each additional page
- Certified Mail: $12.99 base piece (first page included) + $0.25 each additional page
- Postcard: $1.99 flat (4×6 color)
- Optional Certified Electronic Return Receipt: $2.40
- Optional `couponCode` on MCP `send_letter` / `get_pricing` and REST mailing/pricing: server-validated catalog (case-insensitive). `COUPONFORRIGEL` = 99% off the charged/quoted cents. Staging keys still never buy postage.
